Wednesday we began with worship. It was the first time I actually heard a new song in my heart. Several months ago, we had a devo about singing a new song. How we should just sing out. We should sing promises over ourselves, express gratitude in song, sing over our circumstances or situations, and sing something that will draw us closer to hear from Him. We were encouraged to practice alone, with a familiar melody or by putting a memorized scripture to song. We were to emulate the old being gone and the new having come!
I practiced harmonizing, but today I heard extra notes that were not being played instrumentally. I heard a melody straight from heaven in the very core of my being as we sang I Exalt Thee. Not only was I singing a new song…it was also as though He was signing over me! Oh what a beautiful sound, one I hope to experience over and over again! This was an awesome reminder that when I am like Mary, I will get to know and experience Him intimately! Thank you Lord! Continue showing me Your Glory God!
