Power of Prayer

I participated in the MIP training last week.  They encouraged us to think back to our Christian journey thus far and who and what has impacted us along the way.

I found it interesting because the host home I stayed at in Dallas reminded me of the Jenkin’s house.  This family was significant to me because Kim; my dear friend, and her mother took me to church every Sunday of my junior and high school year.

The dog at the host home reminded me of my Molly, my childhood dog.  One summer my family visited my grandparents on the fourth of July and Molly ran away because she was scared of the fireworks.   I remember sobbing on the bed and my gramma told me to pray. This was the first time I prayed expectantly for the God to answer. Low and behold, the very next day…the Lord answered my cry!  This was when I began believing in the power of prayer.

During one of our training sessions, the initiator in Costa Rica invited the MIP’s to his wedding on July 3rd…I felt led to set my target date to reach my partnership goal for July 3rd too.  From looking back, I have realized I need to pray expectantly and He will answer my cry to reach my goal for this day.  Who knows, maybe I will even get to attend the initiator’s wedding in Costa Rica too!

I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I am humbled that He calls me His own! I am learning to walk more boldly and confidently in who He has created me to be. My prayer is others will come to know Jesus as their Savior, identify with who they are in Him so they too can walk out the calling He’s places on their lives!
