I have been encouraged to ask God a question and then begin journaling the Holy Spirit’s reply…Truthfully, I was scared to actually write down a response because all sorts of questions kept creeping up in the back of my mind. What if He didn’t answer? What if I got in His way? What if I couldn’t distinguish my own thoughts from His voice?
However, my mentor explained I would be able to determine if it was of the Lord by comparing it to The Word. She stated His response would NEVER be condemning but it would ALWAYS be: solution focused, encouraging, and for my good.
Well, this
is my first attempt and man am I humbled and thankful to be able to experience Him speak to me this vividly!
My challenge is for you to begin journaling too. Simply ask the Holy Spirit…”what would You like to speak to me today?” and then put your pen on paper and write! I promise it will take you to a deeper level with your Heavenly Father!
