Overcoming Strongholds

I looked up the definition of stronghold, it stated that it is an incorrect thinking pattern that has molded itself into our way of thinking.  From personal experience I know strongholds can be paralyzing and keep us stuck!  During the sermon, our pastor discussed how to overcome them!

First we don’t need to address or focus on fear; however, we DO need to figure out what lie we have been worshipping.  Once we identify the lie, then we need to address it with God’s truth.  Once we do this and focus on the correct way of thinking, then we are FREE, we can move forward and walk out our purpose for Him!

A suggestion to help identify the lie was to return to the last word you heard from God.  Everything else, let go of and dismiss.  That way we can walk in the Lord’s truth!

During the alter call, one of my sister’s in Christ asked me if I believed the Lord could break our chains…needless to say I said yes; I am living proof He can!  She prayed over me and stated that I needed to live out the freedom in my home and others will begin walking in freedom too!  Lord, help me to let my words be few and my actions be a testimony of what You can do for all who believe!
