During my quiet time, I loved reading about the Lord being persistent in Discerning the Voice of God. It stated that “God didn’t call to people once and then throw His hands up in the air. He kept at it. As we seek Him and acknowledge Him, He promises to continue to direct out paths (Pro. 3:5-6), and often does so by bombarding us with a thought that will not cease to permeate our thoughts and hearts. When you are walking with Him, seeking Him, and desiring to receive His direction, He will direct you with consistent persistence.”
At church on Sunday we heard how the Lord pursued this gentleman. He explained someone told him about a church that helps people in Tupelo while he was in Dallas, TX. He traveled to MS and the worship leader ran into him at Lowe’s in Corinth. Then, while he was at the Salvation Army in Tupelo, three other church members where able to pray and minister to him. As we were worshiping, he went to the alter and shared that he had just accepted Christ as His Savior! Talk about proof that the Lord pursues us! This young man never has to doubt God’s love for him! On his search to find a church, he found the Lord!
