Today, the Lord continued refining me. I was asked to lead Bible study this morning. It was ironic because we had left in plenty of time, but we were still late! I was already insecure about what I could possibly teach the team and because I was late…I wasn’t able to get centered…but He still was able to use what I had to say to reach a dear brother in Christ! The Lord showed me no matter how prepared I felt or how centered I was…it had nothing to do with me and EVERYTHING to do with HIM! He is still smoothing out those rough edges of my false sense of control, perfectionism, and pride.
After eating breakfast, I saw numerous sparrows. I silently smiled as my thoughts went quickly to the song “His eyes are on the sparrow, so I know He watches me!” So thankful of His reminders that He has me in the palm of His hands!
While we were at our afternoon church for testimonies, the entire group prayed over all the pastor’s involved. I love how this ministry rallies around the Lord’s shepherds! I also met AJ, the young football player who accepted Christ in Darke County and has been boldly professing his faith to other youth ever since!
Today was another training day in preparation for reviveTX. When I asked if I could go out on a team, I was told no. I caught myself wanting to mumble and complain…but was quickly reminded that I needed to start praising and worshipping Him in ALL things. I also remembered that I need to just roll with things…as it’s His agenda and not mine! His timing is perfect and I need to be in the midst to be able to do His bidding!
At the end of the day, the team began lining up the next days special assignments and I was asked to go to the High School FCA meeting and to the mayor’s office with Kyle! Man, I never saw that coming! Again, the Lord used this as a reminder to trust in Him and wait when necessary! As a result, God gave me the desires of my heart which is to go and share His love!
