I asked the Lord to speak to me this morning and I noticed the mud puddle. Immediately, I was reminded we are to be a mirror image of our Heavenly Father.
Then, I noticed a wheel in the puddle’s reflection. I began looking up scripture about the potter’s wheel…and began processing how the potter molds us, shapes us, and creates something beautiful from mere clay. Then, He began revealing that it’s bigger than me. That what He’s doing in my life will be used for His glory…for His purpose! To help bring others to know Him!
That afternoon, I looked into the same small pool of water and saw a reflection of a car’s head light. Ps. 119:105 “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” came to mind. Next, I thought of Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” I thought this scripture was neat because it went hand in hand with what I had learned from the wheel this morning. Then, I stumbled a crossed Ps. 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?” I instantly knew He was reminding me that He was equipping me to serve Him. He was helping me change my perspective of stronghold…I have always thought of strongholds in a negative way…that we needed to break strongholds. However, since He IS THE STRONGHOLD OF MY LIFE…He is all I need and should not fear what is to come!
