This morning, Wade, Alex, Mary Frances and I went to one of the Fire Departments. The Captain came rushing in panicked saying he had forgotten we were coming and they had something come up unexpectedly. Wade stated it would take 15 minutes to come in to pray and go through the scriptures with them. He commented they only had 3 minutes. Wade asked if he had back pain and he said his shoulder was bothering him. We asked if he would allow us to pray with him and he requested for us to go outside and pray for him there.
As we got outside, he shared that he had been struggling with his faith. He explained as first responders they see a lot of things and they don’t always cope in Godly ways. We prayed for his shoulder and he said it felt a little better. We prayed again for his shoulder and he was healed! Alex was impacted because the Lord brought this gentleman to tears! I felt led to pray one more time after hearing of his struggle and he agreed. I was able to pray for his protection and for him to find the boldness to stand firm in his faith and not cower to his unbelieving co-workers.
This afternoon my team helped an elderly couple load 200 chairs into their pickup truck in preparation for tomorrows day of prayer. Then, we all went to a laundry mat. Terry and I met Lela and Hazel outside of the building. They were both believers and were recovering crack addicts. It was fun encouraging them and hearing their testimony of where the Lord had brought them from! God is so good!
