Day 45

img_6856This morning Alex, Rose Mary, Mary Frances and myself went to an assisted living home. It was sad, as all the residents had been diagnosed with some form of dementia. However, their mood was pleasant and joyful. We prayed for their health as they were sitting and chatting.  Pictured is Ms. Helen and John. We especially enjoyed John. We discovered that holding the baby is his reward for taking a shower and getting ready for the day!

Later that afternoon, the aqua team met up at the bowling alley and had fun fellowshipping with one another.  That night, our region hit the streets.  Margaret, George, Laban and myself were on a team together.  As we prayed, the Lord showed me a picture of an icy.  I was disappointed, because I was hoping to get some ice cream or a fresh cup of coffee.  However, His ways are much higher than our ways!  When we got to the gas station, I felt led to pray for a customer.  She was a believer and prayed the Lord would put someone in my path I could share Christ’s love with.  Little did I know, it would be the cashier!  After we prayed, the group went outside and she explained the Lord has been pursuing her.  I explained why we were there and she cried harder!  I gave her my number, as she wanted more like-minded friends.  My prayer is she reaches out and gets connected in a young adult Sunday school class.

Once we left the gas station, someone changing their car battery caught our attention.  Laban used to work as a mechanic, so he knew this was his divine appointment!  It turned out there was a couple with two children and another guy who was a friend of the couple who came to try to help.  Laban showed them all how to change out the battery and then prayed for their needs.  They were all believers, but wanted someone to do life with!  How fun it was to get their information for discipleship!  My prayer is they will be matched with someone who will encourage them to dive into the Word and help them clarify their theology!

I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I am humbled that He calls me His own! I am learning to walk more boldly and confidently in who He has created me to be. My prayer is others will come to know Jesus as their Savior, identify with who they are in Him so they too can walk out the calling He’s places on their lives!
