While we were taking a walk down the beach, we noticed several schools of fish swimming in the channels. I knew the Lord was reminding me that we are to be fishers of men.
Then, when I saw the top left picture, I immediately could see this paralleling to how Father looks down on us. We delighted in watching the fish, just as He delights in us! Ps. 149:4 “For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.”We also observed the impact of what happened when we put our foot in the middle of the fish. They all went into a frenzy and ended up swimming in a totally different direction. I could envision our feet being symbolic of the power of prayer. When we intercede…the angel armies are able to disrupt the enemy’s plan to destroy us. Because of our war and battle cry, they have to develop an entirely new tactic! Romans 16:20 “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”
Lastly, I saw this as an illustration of us going out and hitting the streets. Due to our obedience of standing in the gap and sharing the Gospel, the fish changed direction. When they changed direction or “repented” they began going His way verses their own way! It was a tangible example of His power through us…our Kingdom sphere of influence changed an entire school of fish unbelievers into future disciple makers and demon destroyers! What a joy it is to be able to walk with our Savior!
