Spiritual Gifts

I was excited about going to the Synergy conference to learn about spiritual gifts; especially prophecy.  I hoped they were going to give us specific instructions about how to prophesy over others.  However, the Lord reminded me that He has already equipped me with this gift and I have already used it to further His Kingdom!  A key statement I jotted down was: “prophecy speaks something into being.”  This is why it is so important to guard our tongues and only speak life and not death!  Another note I took was: “stop trying to figure it out, for the Lord already has it figured out!  Rest in Him!”  That eliminates all of my excuses and justifications about why I can’t…because He totally can!Right before the closing of the conference, we had a time of impartation and then practiced what we had been learning.  I had no trouble getting a vision and sharing what the Lord had to say to my two partners.  The Lord showed one as being a large bolder in the midst of His living water and the other was in a rocket ship orbiting around space.  I knew the first was a mentor and numerous people would come to her for wisdom because of her strong foundation and faith in the Lord.  The second person’s actions were making an eternal difference and she will have no idea of how big of an impact she has made on this side of heaven. How cool is that?

The first girl who prophesied over me said she saw the Holy Spirit fire in my hands and I needed to continue praying and laying hands on others.  The second saw a vision of a torch, children’s ministry, and administrative keys.  She stated she didn’t know what they meant, but I shared with her what they meant to me.  I explained the torch was confirmation to my calling at TTR, as our logo is a torch…the children’s ministry is my new gifting of healing, as I need to help others get in touch with their first hurts so the Lord can heal them.  It also reminded me of the vision Caleb had at church last week of Neil and I’s family photo.  He stated he saw us with many, many children that we were mentoring and caring for.  Not necessarily in this life, but possibly in the spirit realm. Lastly, the key is symbolic that He has already given me tools/keys to operate in my calling and the spiritual giftings.  Amen?
