During the sermon when David stated “the moon is made up of reflective material,” my ears perked up! All I could think about was how Sarah said she just saw silver when she looked at me during our last reviveMISSISSIPPI outreach.
One of the following statements David said was, “there is no dark side of the moon, only a shadow cast by the earth.” He went onto explain the reason we see a shadow is because the earth is blocking the sun and the reason it looks like the moon shines is because its surface reflects the light from the sun. What a neat analogy! Just like the moon, we are reflecting the glory of God when we face THE Son. Yet when we focus on things of the world, we get caught up in darkness. David said it like this, “what the world tries to reflect on us deflects; however, what the Lord imparts on us reflects!” How neat is that?! I don’t know about you, but I won’t look at the moon in the same “light” again!
