Hard ground

img_3235-1This morning the schedule would have permitted me to go out on a team, but I felt I needed to be on the prayer team.  It was so neat because Tina, a local, came to the church seeking help.  I was able to pray for her, buy her lunch, and give her a hygiene bag.  I knew it was the Lord bringing someone to me, since I wasn’t going to be intentionally praying for individuals out in the community.  While the prayer team was out in the parking lot, two gentleman pulled up in a work truck.  We shared what we were doing, but they wouldn’t allow us to pray for them.

We drove until I saw an abandoned rodeo.  I pulled into the driveway and it also led to a church.  We looked to the left and noticed someone had began plowing, but stopped tilling the land.  We thought this was significant, as it was a physical demonstration of what was happening in the spiritual realm.

Then, we looked to the right and noticed several people working on a flowerbed behind the church.  We asked if we could help.  However, they were finished.  Their pastor walked over and informed us they did their own outreaches and were not in need of prayer.  Instead, he prayed for us.  As we left, we began praying for life and unity for this church.  We also got a praise report on the prayer hub stating someone had just accepted Christ.  While we giving the Lord praise, vultures began dive bombing my car.  I had just learned vultures swarm over an expecting cow and they pluck the calf’s eyes out once born and then they devour it.  We knew this was as sign the enemy was trying to pluck the new life and seed!  It is confirmation because we had also prayed for Johnny this morning.  He was the individual that got baptized last night.  We got word that he was suicidal after getting off of work this morning.  We warred against all these attacks!

As we continued driving, I noticed a monument in the middle of the square.  I took a picture and heard Martha yelled my name.  Her team was meeting with Susie and her husband.  I was able to join them and then we prayed for the sweet couple and at the monument.  We prayed the Lord to bring forth healing and unity among the community!  The enemy has had a stronghold for way too long!

I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I am humbled that He calls me His own! I am learning to walk more boldly and confidently in who He has created me to be. My prayer is others will come to know Jesus as their Savior, identify with who they are in Him so they too can walk out the calling He’s places on their lives!
