Lesson

img_5879This afternoon the box fan fell over as I was taking a nap and another time  as I passed by it.  I knew the Lord was trying to get my attention, so I asked Him what it is that He wanted me to learn.

I believe He was reminding me the importance of having firm foundation.  The first time the fan fell was because the cord was under the base making it unstable.  However, even though it fell down because of my neglect; I was still in a position to quickly pick it back up.  My stance was ready; as we always should be when engaging in spiritual warfare.  I believe He was also showing me His grace, as He gave me another opportunity to readjust.

The second time the fan fell the cord wasn’t there, but He was demonstrating even though I am spiritually, emotionally, and mentally prepared as I possibly can be, I still might have to pick myself back up and continue pressing into Him!

Both times the fan hit the floor, it was loud.  The sound alerted the entire house when I was trying to be quiet and under the radar.  While it was on the ground, it made a muffled sound and wasted energy/effort as it was unable to complete the task it was assigned to do.  I believe He was illustrating that warfare has a lot to do with our positioning, both personally and of the equipment I chose to use.  The longer the fan was down, the warmer I got and the environment got.  What a neat example of the importance of continually utilizing our armor and covering ourselves in prayer so the less heat we will experience from the enemy, amen?

I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I am humbled that He calls me His own! I am learning to walk more boldly and confidently in who He has created me to be. My prayer is others will come to know Jesus as their Savior, identify with who they are in Him so they too can walk out the calling He’s places on their lives!
