I had the opportunity to talk to mom one last time before she got on the plane from London to Tel Aviv. I told her how it saddened me to hear that the family hasn’t been taking advantage of the fact they are so close. She challenged me to at least get all the cousins together for lunch before the end of the week. I sent out a text and it didn’t take long to realize it was not going to work. I got discouraged, but tried to hold onto the fact that I had surrendered my will over to God’s will first thing Monday morning after several things hadn’t gone as I had hoped or envisioned. He reminded me His thoughts are not my thoughts and His ways are not my ways…as His are so much higher than ours, Amen?
Well, on Tuesday night, dad and I were able to visit the farm. Beth suggested that we have a family get together over at Aunt Barbs. This would be the first time everyone had gotten together since we celebrated Uncle Brad’s life about 2 years ago. After this was arranged, I began praying about how I could minister to everyone. Immediately I was overwhelmed with thanksgiving as the Lord brought to my attention the ram in the thicket. The Lord said I was not alone as He placed the entire reviveOHIO team in Findlay to help me!
Thursday morning as dad was dropping me off, I told him I had been prayerfully considering inviting some of the team to come and he said to bring two. Whew! I had dad’s blessing, now I just needed Aunt Barb’s. Well, long story short, she said yes! Wade and Rich came and helped me share the Gospel, minister, pray and pour into my family! Wade prayed for and imparted the gift of healing into Kimmy! It was a sweet time of fellowship, healing (spiritually, emotionally, physically), and joyfulness! The Lord is so good and so faithful!
