The pastor that I went out with earlier in the week asked me to come and pray with someone in his congregation who had back aches. We prayed, but she said she wouldn’t know if there was a change until later. I testified how I had seen many people healed of their pain immediately, but she repeatedly said it was something she is going to have to live with the rest of her life. It saddens my heart that she and many Christians don’t think the Lord is able to heal or they are unworthy to be healed. However, I was so encouraged the pastor got it, as he believes! Praise the Lord!
This afternoon, I went to the YMCA with Erika and Aimee. We were able to pray and encourage most of the staff. I ended up sitting with a special needs man about 35 years of age. He brought me hope. He shared how he lives independently, works two different jobs, and attends church every time the doors are open! He constantly had a smile on his face and his joy was contagious! What a blessing he is and what a testimony of how true the statement I heard just earlier this week is…it’s not a DISability, but rather a DIFFERENT ability, amen?
