Open Doors!

img_1476The Lord showed out today!  On the way to the church on our map, we saw youth playing basketball inside a barbwire fence.  We turned into the parking lot and prayed with a mom who had just visited her son who had been in and out of jail for 5 year.  We went inside and spoke to another mom who had also visited her son for the first time.  She shared her experiences with us and we were able to pray for her peace and an open door to go and share with the youth, especially her son who was inside!

We went to the church that was on our map but nobody was there.  We prayed for the the church as the Lord led and then headed a crossed the street.  I saw geese and a squirrel statue and knew we were right where the Lord wanted us.  We went around front and noticed someone standing at the door.  It happened to be a teacher who was waiting on a student’s parent to pick them up.  They had just gotten back to the school from a field trop.  It was this teacher’s first year to teach, so we were able to pray for her career and family.  She also gave us an invitation to return Monday for a tour and to ask if we could get permission to pray with the students and staff!

As we left the parking lot, we noticed a car at the church we just had been to.  The secretary had just come by to pick up something and she said she was familiar with the ministry!  She requested prayer as they had just lost their pastor and were currently seeking a new one.  Talk about perfect timing!  We all thought it was neat as we didn’t expect anyone to be at a church or a school on a Saturday!  Only the Lord could orchestrate those details!

I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I am humbled that He calls me His own! I am learning to walk more boldly and confidently in who He has created me to be. My prayer is others will come to know Jesus as their Savior, identify with who they are in Him so they too can walk out the calling He’s places on their lives!
