I ran into Lela at a restaurant in Tupelo on Thursday evening and she said she was leaving out Friday morning at 6:00 headed to Grant Co. I asked if she had room for one more and she said yes! This was my first reviveIN city! What a blessing! It was emotional, as it was the last time Kyle would be preaching in a revive city as he has passed the torch onto the national team.
While I was there, I was able to hit the street once and pray for the staff at a Church of Christ. They were open and appreciative of our time and prayers. We also prayed healing for a member of my team’s knee and he said it felt better!
As I shared this with Lela and I’s hostess, she revealed she was told she was going to need knee surgery by the end of the year. So, we prayed for her knee as well! She commented she could not bend it easily before and she was able to! We are believing in complete healing and no surgery in Jesus’s name! The following morning, she said she was able to sleep the entire night without waking up due to knee pain, amen?!?!
The Lord burdened my heart for one of the participants. As she passed by the information table, I got emotional. I told the team member I was talking to that I needed to pray with her, but she hurriedly returned to the sanctuary. I dialogued to the Lord He was going to have to provide an opportunity for me soon, as this evening was my last night to be there.
Once we returned to the evening church, there she was, sitting alone in an isolated chair. I knew the Lord had followed through on His part, now it was up to me to do mine. I walked up to her and explained the Lord had tugged my heart earlier this afternoon and wanted me to reach out and pray for her. She stated she was a participant and I explained the Lord was pursuing her. I told her the Lord highlighted her to me and I believe she is the reason He wanted me to come all the way from Mississippi, so I could pray for her and encourage her. She began crying as she told me she was made fun of as a child because she had trouble seeing and hearing. She stated it has carried on into her adult life and she feels more comfortable being in the background, but knows the Lord wants her to speak up and pray boldly. After listening to her heart and desires, I prayed and the Lord gave me several words of edification and empowerment for her. I also recommended she set an appointment with Ray, who is over the inner healing and deliverance prayer ministry. While we were finishing, her husband came up to us and I introduced myself to him. After supper, he approached me and thanked me for praying for his wife. He said he could already see a difference in her and it’s made a huge impact on both of them. He stated, if what I did is what the ministry is all about, they want to be a part, amen? One Community, One Church, One Person at a time!
