Great Smokey Mountains

I got to connect with my team for the first time since the pandemic! Oh, how I have missed them!

During our time in Sevierville County, we walked in tremendous favor. The first place we ate together was comped by the manager. He was blown away we would come from all over the country to pray for his community. He shared he just started a FB page to pray for the lost and his heart is for the Lord to soften hearts so they can come to know and experience His love!

During the team’s prayer time, we asked the Lord for the blueprint of the county. As I reflect, He placed prayer warriors along our path as we walked. The pastor shared how Phyllis; a member of his congregation, was praying for us. We felt led to go and meet her. She is a ninety year old mighty woman of God who intercedes for Pigeon Forge as her living room window. overlooks it. While we were visiting her, we met the chaplain of Dollywood and he invited us to prayer walk the park. As we walked with him, he shared his heart for all the employees and the families who visit to come to know Jesus on a personal level.

We went to church on Sunday morning and the Lord highlighted an elderly gentleman who fell asleep during worship. In my spirit I knew what a struggle it was for him to get ready and come to service. But he came because he was faithful and wanted to honor God. Before we left, his son told us he wanted to honor our team with a book he had written. He had a ministry of inner healing and deliverance. However, he how has Parkinson’s and is no longer able to talk, but can still write. The Lord overwhelmed me with His love for this gentleman and I hugged him and whispered in his ear that the Lord still sees him and says well done. He hugged my neck as a tear trickled down his cheek.

As we bought last minute souvenirs, we prayed with Linda. We came to find out she too is a warrior and has started a prayer meeting in her home. What an honor it was to meet those who have paved our way in prayer! I can’t wait to see and experience God’s hand as He continues to move within this mountainous terrane!

Happy Fourth of July!

Neil and I usually are on a boat watching fireworks on the river. This year; he had to work.

Due to us being home, it gave me an opportunity to watch the beautiful displays with my father. Memories of our annual family reunion at my uncle’s house came flooding my mind. Oh how I cherish these precious recollections and savor the time I got with my dad this year!

Our Kiddo’s

Neil and I got to spend some quality time with these precious souls!

Jonah was able to show Kennedy how we “experts” make smores!

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17

Chosen and Adopted

During our last ministry team call, we discussed the difference between having an orphan spirit verses knowing our identity as a child of God. We assessed how not walking fully in our inheritance can be debilitating. My prayer is you will watch this short video entitled Rooted and Grounded in Love and then review each of the comparisons on the list above to evaluate where you currently stand. Once you do this, praise the Him for where He’s brought you from and then ask the Lord to fill any places in your heart where you may be lacking so you can experience His fullness and walk in complete sonship.

Joy and Blessings

This morning marks our first day back with our Sunday school class! As Neil and I were leaving the campsite, I noticed a small portal. As we continued driving, we noticed the color intensified, the portal developed not just into just one brilliant rainbow, but a double rainbow!

When I looked up double portion, I found it means someone gets twice as much as what is given to others. It was mentioned six times throughout the Bible. My favorite example is Elisha asking Elijah for a double portion of his spirit to be poured out onto himself. 2 Kings, documents Elisha performing numerous miracles which proves his request was granted!

I am also very fond of Isaiah 61:7 that promises a double portion of joy and blessing upon Israel: “Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.”

reviveTUPELO

Today was our first gathering since the pandemic. We broke out into teams and met at the mobile baptismal. Five people publicly declared their faith in Jesus by getting baptized this afternoon! What a glorious day!

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here!”

Knowing God

Today, I began chewing on the difference between God’s rest and peace. It was explained to me that God’s peace is attached to an emotion and His rest is a product of knowing who God is. Rest is an extension of me spending time in the Lord’s presence. I pray that when something happens and I begin feeling anxious; I will quickly be able to identify it and speak “You’ll come” and then continue moving forward in His peace. My ultimate hope is when things around me become chaotic, I will remain at rest because of how well I know Him.

A Way Out

Neil was called into work on Saturday for a protest, so we had to return from Florence two days earlier than we anticipated.

Since we were back and he got off early enough, we were able to attend the second annual “A Way Out” event. I am so thankful because not only did we have the privilege of worshipping with an amazing band, but we witnessed between 45-50 people surrender their lives to Jesus!

I know how excited we were here on earth, I can’t even image how the angels were rejoicing in heaven!
