Silent Night

img_0546Every Christmas Eve my family goes to Harrisburg for their candle light service, and this year was no different.

2 Cor. 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” make his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

Answered Prayer

I just read where Jimmy was hit and killed by a car.  During reviveTUPELO this past month, my team was able to pray for Jimmy. When we asked him how we could pray for him he said he needed housing.  Jimmy knew the Lord, and what a better home for him than a mansion in heaven!img_0567

What impacted me the most was he was thankful and grateful for what he had and wanted for nothing. When we asked him if he needed food and he said he just ate, if he needed cigarettes he said he had plenty. The only thing he said he could use was hot hands to keep him warm. Needless to say, we bought him some and found him a few days later and gave them to him. He thanked us and gave us a big hug…what an impact he made on my life in just a short period of time! Until we meet again dear friend!

Gifts

I got the privilege to play my oboe in West Jackson St.’s Christmas program!  I am always excited to get to use my gift to worship our King!  Over 12 people came to know the Lord as their personal Savior through this production!  Glory!

img_0549What an amazing God adventure my team had today!  Before even leaving the church, we were able to pray for Taylor and the Lord removed fear and anxiety from her and replaced it with His peace!  She was thankful and praised Him throughout our excursion!

Amy felt led to go and pour into a store clerk that she had been talking to for several months.  It was neat because the Lord used this encounter to bless both of them!

As we were driving, I saw a female walking down the street and into a store.   I knew I needed to speak to her.  As it turned out, she was a resident at the shelter I used to work at and I was able to pray and encourage her.  It blessed my heart to be able to see her again and hear how she had grown since the last time I had seen her!

Our final stop was with Jimmy, a homeless gentleman walking down Main St.  He touched each of us as he was grateful and content with everything he had; even though it was minimal.  The only thing he would allow us to do for him was pray for a new home and promise to bring him back some hand warmers.  We did just that and are anxiously awaiting our next encounter with him after we purchase him some hand warmers.

To see it and feel it for myself was exactly what I wanted to do…a car load of us left at 3:00 on Tuesday morning to experience it in person!  I didn’t know what to expect, except to be in awe of our Lord.

As soon as we got to the gift shop, I began feeling in the Spirit.  My stomach hurt so bad I was doubled over in pain.  After worship and testimonies, a gentleman encouraged me to go to the prayer room.  I explained what was happening and several people gathered to pray for the Lord to reveal to me who it was needing prayer.  The Lord gave me a vision of a kidney.  One of the people that came with me joined us and said she had a friend who needed prayer.  I asked her if her friend had something wrong with her kidney and she said yes.  I stood in the gap and my left kidney began hurting and then it began tingling until the pain subsided.  My friend reached out and discovered her friend’s left kidney had started hurting last week and she had a doctor’s appointment in the near future.  She was told we had prayed for her and anxiously anticipate the doctor’s report!

Be a Blessing!

img_0560This afternoon, Neil explained he had 6 more Square One raffle tickets to sell in 2 hours.  He commented he was just going to buy them, but wondered if I had any ideas of who’s name to put on them.  I suggested our pastor David Ball and church member Robbie Gallespie.  He agreed and put their names on 3 tickets a piece for a possibility to win a $1000 gift card to Academy Sports.

When we got to the store for the drawing, they sold all but 40 of the 1000 tickets.  Square One’s founder picked a young man to pull the winning ticket.  Neil and I about screamed  when he saw David Ball’s name!  I literally jumped up and down!  We were like kids on Christmas Eve.  We couldn’t wait to share the news with him! Continue reading “Be a Blessing!”

Eph. 1:15-17

img_0555I just love this time of the year.  Neil get’s one week off of work for Thanksgiving and we spend it at our camper.  He goes deer hunting every day while the dogs and I stay inside where it’s nice and warm to make thank you gifts for my partners in ministry.

At His Feet

img_0934During worship today, the Lord clothed me with an emerald green covering outlined in white fur.  Then, I saw a basket containing one full loaf of bread, grain, green apples and purple grapes.  Next, I had a vision of a candle on a brass stand and I heard, “eat with me at the table.”  As my encounter with the Lord continued, I began cleaning His feet with my hair.  I then saw a beautiful morning glory and a brilliant light suddenly erupted from the center.  After this vision I heard “I am preparing a place for you.”  Then, I saw a lion and it concluded with a delicate silver crown…Oh how I love the time I get to spend with Him!
