Today was our last day on the coast and I decided to take the plunge and walk the 1.7 mile bridge over the bay and back. I prayed the Lord would speak to me and reveal Himself to me. Again, I was not disappointed!
From the first marker to the last, He made it known that it’s time to go fishing! The entire walk, all I could think about was Matt. 4:19 “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Do you see the middle picture on the top row? I realized that I am not alone…that the Holy Spirit and others are going to help me be about His business! The orange lock that says “be inspiring” caught my eye. I thought this was neat because the fishing boat directly below it was just heading out and had just passed by the red and green markers that I saw when Neil and I walked the piers on Tuesday morning. He was reiterating the importance of listening to His instructions all along the way.
I paused to take a breather and looked at the path that I had already been and then back to the path where I was headed. I noticed only a few people were going the same way I was, but many were headed the other direction. Matt. 7:13-14 immediately came to mind. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” My prayer is He will continue to use me to help the lost find that narrow road leading to life everlasting!
What do you notice about the top right picture? I see streets of gold! I believe He was giving me a small taste of what heaven is going to be like. To top that, Casting Crown’s song “We Were Made To Thrive” played on my playlist. Just as it was almost over, I looked down and saw the “I am a Thriver” sticker in the middle of my path! No, I am not kidding! My God didn’t just show up, He showed out! I know the people that saw me tear up thought I was strange getting so emotional over a little sticker…but I didn’t care because Christ was revealing His love to me! Yes, the BIG and MIGHTY God I serve was reaching out and loving on this little Mississippi girl who stepped out on faith to serve Him!
On our way out of town, I saw the mural of the little boy fishing off the pier. I asked Neil pull over and take that picture because I wanted a reminder that He isn’t finished revealing His love to me…and He was confirming that I was indeed equipped and ready to begin my journey as a TTR Team Member In Process!
