I have had a few people praying for the Lord to equip me and He has been persistent. Not only is He stretching me; it seems like every time I turn around something is trying to steal my joy. It started with me having a fender bender, the battery in my car quitting, the garage door not working, the air conditioner going out, me dropping my ipad, having a water leak, our carpet shampooer quitting..all within the past few weeks. I realize it is just one of Satan’s tactics trying to get me distracted from being about my Father’s work by tempting me to find a full time job and not trusting in His provision.
This morning, while I was listening to one of my online courses, the instructor reviewed the end of times. Throughout the discussion he talked about battle and war. I was reminded of the Lord’s affirmation to me before I began this journey. The Lord showed me arrows and a white horse. I am now seeing these items represent victory and the necessity for me to only focus on Him and not my struggles. My praise is that my husband is very handy and was able to fix most everything; and what he couldn’t, the Lord put someone in our path to help! Amen?
Here is the promise that I am holding onto today: 1 Cor. 15:57-59 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
