What an amazing morning the Lord had planned! On our way to Pine Grove School, we drove up to 2 donkeys that were standing on the side of the road. I asked the driver to pull over so I could get out and get a picture. Needless to say, I started the donkeys and they began braying. Immediately Pam said it was a shofar sounding. I did some research and found shofars are sounded as a symbol of repentance and as an alarm to awaken the soul. One long shofar blast be used to announce Jesus’s return and they have used as an instrument of spiritual warfare (Num. 10:9).
When we got to the school, we were able to pray for a few staff members and then spoke to about 40 members of their FCA. It was neat because the night before the girl’s basketball team won the state championship! We were able to tie in their victory with being victorious in Christ! Several students were moved to tears while the Gospel was being presented. We witnessed one student approach a staff member who directed her to another student! How awesome is it that the discipleship process had already been established!?!
Before we left, Pam felt led to go and speak to the guidance counselor. While she was taking off her brand new shoes and putting them on his desk, she explained he was to give the shoes to a female who was going to be given a new walk of life. Pam said the Lord gave her a new walk and He was about to do the same for a student. He was overwhelmed and appreciated our prayer. I can’t wait to hear how God continues moving in this school!
