This morning, our team went to the red light district. It was filled with people waiting in line for a concert and preparing for the Pumpkin King Parade.
Our first encounter was with a couple who owned two large dogs. They suggested several places locals frequent and to be on the lookout for wild chickens as they are protected animals in the city. As we strolled down the street, we spotted a homeless vet who had a service dog. He was a believer, but was unable to find employment because of his health. We prayed for miraculous healing and provision.
Next, I spotted a police officer and prayed for protection over him and his family. He was a believer and I encouraged him to continue shining His light in the darkest of places. Then, we saw what we thought was a coffee/ice cream shop. It turned out being a place that sold coffee pop cycles. The worker had just lost her mother and cried as we prayed for the Lord to continue healing her heart. She too was a believer needing a special touch from our Heavenly Father. As we were headed to the car, we noticed a group of ladies with women conference name badges. We prayed for them and showed them how to use the bracelets and bands. We prayed they would step out of their comfort zone and pray for at least one person outside of the conference while visiting the city!
