Investing in the Future Generation

Today, I got to go out with two granddaughters, one of their friends, and the grandfather. It was neat as the grandfather and I went through the Bible and wristband with them. Then, we demonstrated how to incorporate what we had just taught them during a conversation and they participated in our last encounter! I love how the grandfather was able to incorporate the model, assist, watch and leave example of discipleship Paul described in 1 Thessalonians 1:4-10.

During one of our stops, I ran into one of the twins Neil taught in the Jr. Police Academy. I felt it was the Lord showing me the fruit of Neil’s labor as she now leads a live Bible study on FB and is preparing to apply to the police academy!

FULL CIRCLE

The Lord has been blowing me away with how He has brought things full circle on the 5 year anniversary of being called into full time ministry.

The Celebrate Recovery (CR) ministry I had been involved with for almost 10 years at my church closed its doors right before I was introduced to Time To Revive (TTR). While the revive team was here for engage week in October of 2015, I saw a friend of mine get saved on a video of one of their encounters. This friend had sat at my dining room table for a year going through a step study and I assumed she was saved. When I saw the encounter, I knew I wanted to be a part of what they were doing.

Since being with TTR, I have gotten to share the Gospel at the very church in Ohio I got married (the first time) at a CR meeting! I had many regrets that began in the sanctuary of that church and the Lord totally redeemed that for me!

A few years ago I was trained in the inner healing and deliverance ministry. I stood in awe of how easily the demons I had been dancing with for so long could be evicted from my temple and how quickly the Lord could heal a memory that the enemy used to taunt me with. I longed to be able to implement these new tools with those still struggling. During an outreach in Sweetwater, TX my team was invited to a CR meeting where we were able to present the Gospel in large group. When they broke out into open share groups, my team was able to pray individually with several of the girls and they received inner healing and deliverance right there on the spot! FREEDOM Lord! We thank You for the work that was completed on the cross!

Neil and I moved churches after revive came to Tupelo. Since, Neil helped launch a new CR which has recently changed its name to Elevation Recovery. I have only attended a few times. This week however, I was able to share my testimony about what the Lord has done in and through me! I felt led to go through the Bible and wristbands with them. One of the participants came up to me and said her boyfriend prayed the prayer of salvation! GLORY!!! I was elated! One more for Your Kingdom Lord, one more!

I have never really known where I fit into TTR, but this year the Lord has revealed I am an intercessor. I am part of a prayer team that is constantly interceding on behalf of the ministry, my team, and land He has called us to! How cool is it that He gave me a chance to share that with the ministry I hold so dear to my heart! Oh how BIG He is! Oh how GOOD and LOVING He is! Great is His FAITHFULNESS!

Prayer Points

While pressing into prayer for Cartersville, the Lord broke my heart for several things.

During one late night watch, Holy Spirit gave me a vision of Jesus carrying the cross with a shackle around His neck and a chain attached to it. People were jerking the chain as though He was a puppet. In the vision, I fell to my knees and He looked at me and said, “I’d do it again, I love them that much.” Oh, I pray that we as His bride would stop trying to string Him a long as a puppet, but instead-seek His face, seek His heart cry, honor Him, lift Him up in reverential fear in preparation for His return.

During corporate prayer, there was an alter call. We were encouraged to go and lay something down that was hindering us in our relationship with the Lord. After doing so, then were were to ask the Lord for something in return. As we were praying, the Lord showed me a vision of countless gifts aligning the alter. The gifts were as far deep and as far high as the eye could see. I began weeping because nobody was claiming any of the precious things the Lord wanted His children to have. It broke His heart they would chose to hang onto broken things of the world instead of things that would lead to restoration and empower them to advance His Kingdom. Lord, help us to let go, so we can receive all you have for us! We want more of You Lord! More Lord, more!

The last morning, a friend was holding the door for people as they were entering the sanctuary. As I approached, he jokingly closed it so I couldn’t get in. I knew his intention was to be funny, but the Lord used it as a warning and prayer point. The Holy Spirit brought to my recollection the picture of Jesus knocking on the door to someone’s heart and then switched it to Him holding the door open for His friends to enter into His Kingdom only for Him to shut it and Him tell them “depart from Me, for I never knew you” Matthew 7:23. Oh, that none shall perish, but come to the knowledge of Jesus as their Savior!

Watch and Pray!

What an honor and privilege to get to serve with this team of prayer warriors. We met every night and pressed in with prayer and during the day released declarations over the land and sang praise about what He’s done and is doing!

Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

1 Corinthians 16:13 “Watch, stand fast in faith, be brave, be strong.”

Mark 13:32-37 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’ ”

reviveGEORGIA

What a great way to begin revive in Cartersville, GA! Not only has COVID gotten the churches to meet outside of the building, but it also has gotten our ministry out of the building! We spent two days ministering and gathering folks in open areas! During one of our outings, I found myself waving to all the passers by and encouraged them to join us. As a result, we were able to connect two people to the chairman, someone got baptized, we prayed with a several believers, and I had the privilege of leading Savannah through the salvation prayer! GLORY!!

reviveTUPELO Outreach

This marks reviveTUPELO’s 5 year anniversary! Five teams hit the streets today. I had the privilege of leading Hannah to Christ and there were two others who gave their hearts to Jesus! We also had a grandmother get to baptise her grandson! Glory to God in the highest!

Peace in the Midst of Chaos

As Neil and I were driving, we passed several cars that had stopped on the shoulder of the road near a car that was in the ditch. He switched into his law enforcement role and pulled over to assist until the first responders arrived. As he put the car into park, I immediately began feeling trauma, fear, and anxiety. I knew this was not mine, so I thanked the Lord for allowing me to experience what the victim was feeling, and then commanded it to leave. I told Neil that I would just stay in the car and pray.

As I was looking in my side mirror, the Lord responded “I did not call you to sit, but to go and carry My presence with you.” Immediately, I jumped to my feet and headed to the accident. With each step, I felt bolder, stronger, and more at peace. I knew this was Holy Spirit taking over, as I had no idea what I was going see.

As I approached, Neil had Ms. Lee Ann’s hand and she was weeping. She had her seat belt on at the time of the accident, so her injuries were minimal. She complained of her neck burning and head hurting. Neil instructed her to remain still until the ambulance arrived. I asked her if she would allow me to pray with her and she said “yes.” Neil and I exchanged positions and I now had Lee Ann’s hand in mine.

I prayed for the Lord to impart His peace. I could feel her relax almost to the point of us both passing out because of the heaviness of His glory falling upon us. I confirmed she was a believer and she showed me a scar on her chest saying He’s saved her life. I reminded her He just did it again! With her permission, I led her through an Emanuel moment. I recited Matthew 14:22-33 to her about the disciples being on the boat and seeing Jesus walking up to them on the the water. She described the water, what Jesus looked like and heard Him tell her everything was going to be alright and that she was His beloved.

As we concluded our time together, she made the statement that she just wanted to go and see a friend. I chuckled and told her that the Lord did one better and came to visit her right here instead. By now, several law enforcement officers had arrived. Each stated they couldn’t believe her car didn’t flip. Neil, Lee Anne and I all know the Lord had His hand on her the whole time, amen?

Thankful Thursday

I got to spend the afternoon in Iuka with this special crew. While catching up with Sheri, I had an opportunity to pray for our other two sisters in Christ. Please be in agreement with me for physical and emotional healing for them. I love how the Lord puts us in the right place at the right time!

Get Ready!

It’s the time of year I change out my closet from summer to winter clothing and shoes. During the process, I began looking for my pants and I couldn’t find them. I found a tub full of Capris I held onto incase I lost weight, but there were no long pants to be found. I was distraught. I looked everywhere I thought I could have stored them. After an hour of looking, I surrendered to the fact that I had mistakenly donated them when I went through my clothes this spring.

As I prayed, the Lord kept whispering “closet.” I did end up finding them stuck between a CR shirt and my varsity jacket I had been holding onto for sentimental reasons. I asked the Lord what He was trying to teach me and I came up with I need to hold onto things of this world loosely; instead, I need hold tightly to the things of God (1 Cor. 7:29-31).

I asked if the pants had meaning and I felt as though He was telling me it’s time to gird up my loins (Pro. 31:17). I believe He wants me to get to prepared and be strong in character and strong physically. That I must be ready for what ever it is He calls me to, both emotionally and physically.

Transformation!

I just learned of an amazing testimony the Lord let me be a part of!  While I was still working at the shelter, I began counseling a survivor over the phone.  We started with 15 minute sessions, which built up to 30 minutes and then graduated to in person meetings.  During one of our appointments, I led her to the Lord using a TTR bracelet.  She was baptized at the Christ-centered recovery ministry I was involved with.

Last week the Lord prompted me to reach out to her and I discovered she has helped kick off a Biblically based 12-step ministry at her church last month!  I stand in awe of this transformed life!  She went from barely being able to speak on the phone about her trauma to now helping lead a ministry that assists others overcome their struggles!  Glory to God in the highest!
