As I reflect on different 4th of July holidays I was reminded of the one when Molly; my black poodle, ran away while we were visiting my family in Ohio. I knew she was scared of the fire works, so panicked and tried to get away from the loud sounds. My gramma encouraged me to pray and ask the Lord to watch over her. In between tears, I remember saying “if you return her to me, I will believe.” Well, the very next morning, we got a phone call telling us they had found her. This was my first time I saw God’s faithfulness and experienced the power of prayer! Oh how I love how He increases my faith, even through runaway pets!
Let freedom ring
For quiet some time the Lord has been dealing with my addiction to sugar. I will do well for short period of time and then will go to the extreme and eat all the sweets I can get my hands on.
Since discovering Lacey was a diabetic about 6 years ago and seeing the affect sugar had on her little four legged body, I can’t think of a better way to her honor than to by giving it up. Today, July 4, 2018…I pledge I will remain independent from sugar one day at a time!
New Eyes to See
It was so great getting to catch up with Judy! I believe by her wearing three sets of glasses is confirmation the Lord is changing her lenses, perspective and focus, Amen?
Team Oliver!
Today I got to hit the streets of Tupelo with this precious team! We started at McDonald’s to fuel up on lunch. While we were there, the power went out and we were able to pray for all the employees! The girls were able to give out and explain the wristbands to several people. From there, we went to the Tupelo Police Department to see if we could speak to one of the detectives. She was not in, so we asked the ladies at the front desk if we could pray for them. One teared up as we prayed for strength, endurance and protection. What a fun day!
Enjoy the Journey
Oh what a blessing it’s been to get to spend time with this amazing family! Mary Frances and I met them during reviveOH. Since we last saw them at reviveTX, they have followed the Lord by selling their home, buying a camper, and are currently relocating to Sedona, AZ. Please be in prayer for this precious family…that they continue seeking Him first and for His protection and provision! I can’t wait to hear how He uses them and for our first opportunity to go and visit!
What’s in a name
One day I felt led to ask the Lord the meaning of my name. I began by googling the definition. Susan means graceful lily. Lily in Hebrew shushan or shoshan means whiteness. Michelle means close to God.
Then, I asked Holy Spirit for clarification. I envisioned a white lily resting on a lily pad. I imagined jumping off of the pad and going deep into the water. The roots went as far as I could see. From on top of the pad, the white of the flower contrasted from the darkness of the water. The moon’s light reflected off of the water, just as we are to be a reflection of Him. The light was radiant, peaceful, beautiful. The lily pad rested on top of the water. It moves in sync with the water and the water is necessary for it’s survival. Water often is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. (I rest in Him, I cannot depart from Him and He will take me to deeper levels of intimacy).
The flower is delicate to the touch. It is soft and flexible. It won’t break, but it will tear. I could hear a waterfall in the distance and smelled the lily. It had a beautiful fragrance, one that was pleasing to the Lord! Bees came to pollinate the flower. Once they tasted/drank it’s nectar; they go and deposit what they’ve received to another flower. What a beautiful image of what we are to do with Christ’s love!
Psalm 91:11
This year Neil’s training was held in Bay St. Louis. I haven’t been to visit since hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. Local artists have made angels out of trees that were destroyed during the storm. I spent an entire morning in search of these angelic creations! What a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness and protection!
Come to the Table
For the past few months, the Lord has been speaking to me about coming to the table. When I did some research, I found this teaching.
During an inner healing and prayer session I was encouraged to close my eyes and envision a table. Once I saw it, I needed to focus on the details of the table and then invite Jesus to join me.Continue reading “Come to the Table”
Revive!
This morning, I had a vision of a crown with many jewels and a dove with a olive branch in it’s beak. As I shared this, Tanna stated her husband had a special connection to robins. So, we by going to Robin’s Field and we prayed for Star and her husband. From there, we began driving down Robin’s Rd. which turned into Highland Cir. While we were looking around, I saw two of my high school friend’s sisters out in their yard with a for sale sign in it. Our team agreed it was a good idea see if they would allow me to pray about them selling their family home.
As it turns out, they had renovated it and asked if the team would like a tour. We went through and I shared memories I had of being in this residence. Through our conversation, it was disclosed that one of the sisters now lives on Robin’s Rd. and another in a house a crossed the street from Robin’s Field! This was our confirmation we were in the right spot! It was also mentioned that my friend’s older sister Margret had just had cancer removed from her brain and she was still recovering. As it turns out, my friend was having an engagement party in this very location next weekend and they encouraged us to attend so we could pray for Margaret! You better believe we accepted the invite!Continue reading “Revive!”

I am so, so blessed to have my nieces, nephew and God children in my life!
