Stock Yards
A group of team aqua went to visit the Fort Worth Stock Yards. We enjoyed fellowshipping and taking a break from our rigorous routine. While we were there, the Lord highlighted this white sheep. I immediately thought about John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” I am so thankful I have learned how to hear my Master’s voice! I can’t wait to hear Him even more clearly!
He also reminded me Matthew 18:2 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?” I am believing next week will be a week of looking for the one!
Let Go!
What a fun day! Mary Frances and I went and visited Annetta, one of my family members. We were able to catch up and pray for the healing of her back. As we were driving towards our next destination, I saw a horse running in a field! It reminded me of the vision someone had shared with me exactly one year before. He said that he saw me standing in front of a horse, trying to fight it. He explained the horse represented the Holy Spirit…and the Lord wanted me to realize he is powerful and that when I get on; He will take me to places I have never been. Well…I believe He was telling me that since I have let go…and gotten on…I can now enjoy the journey! How neat is that?
This evening, our entire team took our host church’s pastor and his wife out to eat because Randy lost his mother last weekend. Before we got our meal, he gave each of us some dandelion tea to represent his commitment of letting go and for his entire congregation to get out of the building! What an honor and privilege to serve beside him!
D’Flowers – Part 2
National Day of Prayer, Denton
What a fun day! Instead of our usual routine, we went to Denton’s Day of Prayer celebration. I met and had an opportunity to pray for two of the shofar players, Ray – who’s parents were visiting him from overseas, and Dan who accepted Christ as his Lord! After we left the event, Mary Frances and I went to UNT and met with a CR leader about the possibility of some of the participants signing up for discipleship and just coming to get involved! I can’t wait to see how the Lord merges these ministries!
Consuming Fire!
This morning, Wade, Alex, Mary Frances and I went to one of the Fire Departments. The Captain came rushing in panicked saying he had forgotten we were coming and they had something come up unexpectedly. Wade stated it would take 15 minutes to come in to pray and go through the scriptures with them. He commented they only had 3 minutes. Wade asked if he had back pain and he said his shoulder was bothering him. We asked if he would allow us to pray with him and he requested for us to go outside and pray for him there.Continue reading “Consuming Fire!”
John H. Guyer High
This morning we had the privilege of sharing the gospel with 35 high school students. When we started, there were only 3 students present. However, Wade and I rallied the rest of them in from the cafeteria. They were all attentive to hear the message and one asked Christ to be the Lord of his life.
We left Bibles in all the teachers cubbyholes, but later found out they had to be removed. Please be praying for this school. As the team left, I felt the heaviness of the enemy trying to take dominion. We boldly renounce the attacks of satan and claim victory in the name of Jesus.
Psalms 91
This afternoon when we heard about an active shooter in Dallas and a shooting was reported outside of the Denton County Courts Building, all of the regions collectively stopped what we were doing and prayed. It was prophesied that as the fruits double, the attacks will double, as the fruits triple, the attacks will triple, etc. Well, we are warring against the enemy and are taking authority over him in Jesus’s name!
After hearing a first responder was shot, I asked my team if we could go to the Denton Police Department to pray for their officers and they agreed. The office were busy since the incident, but we were invited to come back from 8:00-10:00 a.m. We also got a list of 5 hand written requests and we were able to pray for a single mom with four kids. She explained she asked her coworker to pray with her all day long, but every time they got busy. How cool was it that we came just as she was getting off the clock so we were able to pour out Christ’s love onto her for about 30 minutes! I shared with her that I had tried to get to the police station on two previous teams, but knew it didn’t work out because we needed to pray for her! Jeanette, one of our team members, agreed to walk along side her and pray for her as she begins her career in law enforcement!
Answered Prayers!
There is a place we have driven by on numerous occasions where the day laborers gather and I had commented that I wanted to go there with a Spanish Interpreter. Well, this morning…the Lord answered my prayers! I was on a team with Carlos, Hector and Aaron. Hector is a pastor and bilingual! I shared with him that I had been wanting to go there and he said that Carlos mentioned going to the exact location this morning too! We invited Wade to bring the “How can I pray for you” truck and his team and off we went! As we drove up, everyone swarmed the vehicles. We passed out bracelets and Bibles to everyone. Hector shared and gospel and three people came to know the Lord as a result of our time there this morning! We also went to a nearby laundry mat and prayed with everyone that would allow us to!
When we shared testimonies at Singing Oaks, we celebrated 8 new salvations in the aqua region this morning alone! You know the angels were rejoicing with us!
Being the Church!
How awesome is this? We had 5 teams go to Denton’s Jazz Festival this morning instead of sitting in the pews of their church! Because they got out of their four walls, they saw the fruit of their labor! 2 healings and 1 salvation! Come on Jesus!!
