A few weeks ago during Revive Tupelo I was given a new word! Ready for it? LIGHT! When my team and I went out Saturday morning we noticed traffic lights, street lights, caution lights, head lights, etc. I started making it complicated because the traffic light itself could hold so many meanings – proceed with caution, stop-look-listen, GO, move forward…you get the idea. But at the end of the day, my prayer ended up being that we shined His light in this dark world and within our community. Ever since I have been fixated on the song “this little light of mine” and I have been trying to emulate His light everywhere I go.
Today, I sat down and began looking for scriptures with the word light in them and was reminded that it could also be used to describe how much something weighs. Well, one of my clients just asked me if I was tired and I had to be honest and say yes. You see, I have been trying to handle something in my own strength that only God could. But how cool is it of God to gently remind me that when we rely and lean on Him – our loads are LIGHTened?
