Isaiah 40:31

img_5344This was what I chose to read as I led the team’s devotional this morning.  I kept hearing the Lord say quit striving…it reminded me of the bird that I saw floating in the same spot.  The bird allowed the wind do all the work so he didn’t have to exert any effort.  Isn’t that true of the Holy Spirit?  If we surrender, then He will do the work instead of us trying to force something to happen that only the Lord can do, amen?

I also remembered the analogy of us riding with Jesus on a bicycle built for two.  It works so much better when both people go the same direction and the same speed as one another.  When we do, we can enjoy the journey because we are working together verses against each other!  I don’t know about you, but I want to be in sync with my Savior so I can fulfill my purposes to build and increase His kingdom!

I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I am humbled that He calls me His own! I am learning to walk more boldly and confidently in who He has created me to be. My prayer is others will come to know Jesus as their Savior, identify with who they are in Him so they too can walk out the calling He’s places on their lives!
