Many people question how I can drive by myself.  Well, I don’t!  Jesus is with me the entire time!  I decided to go home the highlighted route back to Tupelo.  I would have rather gone a less crowded way, but the Lord revealed He had something special in store if I rose above and was obedient!  Well, needless to say, He blessed me abundantly as we traveled.  He loved on me, gave me a new perspective, and revealed things to me the entire way home!  Oh what a joy and privilege it is getting to serve with Him!

Unshakable

img_6691The Lord healed my heart this week of things that I thought were already mended!  I was able to let Him hold me just as this father was holding his child!

I had unknowingly been leaving God the Father out of the trinity due to lack of trust and faith.  Once He brought this to light, I repented and surrendered yet more of myself to Him.  He showed me that because I have let Him in, I am now aligned and will be unshakable as long as I keep in tuned with His heartbeat, amen?

Day in the Park

img_6142Today, we had a party at the park.  We cooked hamburgers and hot dogs and invited anyone in the area to come and fellowship with us.

During the event, we baptized a grandmother and granddaughter in the mobile baptismal and Aimee and I were able to pray with and encourage numerous dog owners at the dog park!

It was a beautiful day and a fun way to wrap up our time in the streets of Tampa!

Hear our Battle Cry!

img_6140Oh how I love to intercede and bring Heaven down to earth!  Here are some warriors I got the honor of praying with!  It was so neat as each group had their own way of warring.  One group took a passage of scripture and offered up a prayer of thanksgiving for each verse.  Another group lifted up words of praise after each verse of a worship song was sung.  Some were soft spoken, while others came to the throne room boldly!  I noticed how different everyone’s postures were too.  There were a few people who sat in reverence, some knelt, stood, while others walked back and forth.  Despite the differences, we were all able to come together as one because we had the same purpose…to call forth the Lord’s will and see revival break out in Tampa Bay!

It’s Greek to me

This morning I was asked to help Thomas and Caleb made 1000 copies so they could hand them out before outreach this afternoon.  Well, the printer was not running as it should, so a 10 minute project turned into a major ordeal.  The hold up was bringing up scheduling problems, transportation issues, etc. etc.  Caleb had to leave so Thomas and I sorted cut and gathered the copies for about 30 minutes.  The printer ran out of paper.  When it did, it gave the notice it was cleaning itself after we reloaded the paper.  After this took place, it functioned as it should and we Rhonda came in to help us.  As it turned out, we were able to complete in 5 minutes what it had taken us about 45 minutes to do.

I had just shared how the Lord uses everyday things to bring His word to life.  Then, we brought up the two Greek words Logos and Rhema.  From here, we began processing how the printer is a lot like us and we need to be cleaned and reloaded to function efficiently and effectively.  As it turned out, everyone made it where they needed to in at exactly the right time!  The Lord is faithful and has a fun way of bringing ordinary happenings into teachable moments!

7th Street

img_6141This morning, our team went to the red light district.  It was filled with people waiting in line for a concert and preparing for the Pumpkin King Parade.

Our first encounter was with a couple who owned two large dogs.  They suggested several places locals frequent and to be on the lookout for wild chickens as they are protected animals in the city.  As we strolled down the street, we spotted a homeless vet who had a service dog.  He was a believer, but was unable to find employment because of his health.  We prayed for miraculous healing and provision. Continue reading “7th Street”

Wisdom

This afternoon my prayer group took a break and sat around the pond.  The Pastor shared several tidbits of valuable information I don’t want to forget!

He mentioned the importance of walking barefoot in the grass.  He stated it gets you grounded and removes toxins from your body.  This brought to my remembrance Psalm 23:2.

He shared how his father was a fisherman in the Caribbean and taught him many neat lessons.  He explained they knew if there was going to be a hurricane depending on wether or not there was  dirt on the plants.  He clarified if there was no dirt the water was hot so the winds would blow and cause moisture to build.  If this was the case, they knew bad weather was in store.  However, if there was dirt that blew in from Africa, they would not tropical storms.  He shared the dirt might have been a nescience, but it meant better weather and it brought nutrients to their plants!

He discussed the dangers of the ocean.  He stated that there were islands all around and many people would crash into them because they were just below the surface.  He stated it can really be deceiving if you weren’t familiar to the area.  He also said each island has 2 oceans touching it, one on each side.

He shared how his father would fish out of a small boat.  He would put our white bottle jugs that would go underwater.  He said they would leave the nets there for several days and he would go and help his dad retrieve the nets.  He stated his dad would go to a set point and then calculate the undercurrent so he could find out where they had drifted.  The pastor admitted he was amazed that his father always pointed him to the exact location of where to find the nets.  It is a dying trade.

After this story, we prayed for an awakening of the church.  For all bodies of believers become fishers of men.  That sharing the Gospel is not a dying trade, but a new way of living!  As we were sitting there; we fed the turtles and fish.  We observes the more we fed them, the more fish came.  Our prayer was the more we went out, the more people would become attracted to the bread of life; resulting in more and more people coming  to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Keep Digging

fernDuring outreach, I looked under what I thought was a fern and there were pods underneath.  The pods looked like fake, plastic pinecones.  However, when we cut one open, it was filled with seeds too numerous to count.  From this example, I believe the Lord was saying that things may be concealed if we aren’t looking hard enough and what we do find might not be what we perceive it at first glance.  If we don’t slow down long enough to dig deep and get to the heart of the subject, we are going to miss the hidden treasure, amen?

img_5915Martha, Melinda and I headed out to purchase a gift to give the person allowing us to stay in their home.  We ended up at Wal-Mart and prayed with a mother and her three week old baby.  The baby immediately fell asleep and the mom was shocked saying she had been crying all day.  The mom ended up wanting discipleship!  We also prayed for someone who attended the Crossing Church and for a female heading towards her car.  We began going through the wrist band, but the husband came out and wouldn’t allow us finish it.  Please be in prayer for her, as we felt she would have said yes had we not gotten interrupted.  Melinda got discouraged and began crying.  Someone approached her and told her Jesus loves her.  It was neat crossing paths with someone else doing what we were; sharing the love of Christ!
