New Life!

What a beautiful day we had with our Savior!  Today was the first baptism since TTR was here for engage week last year!  Glory!!

My team went to Green Street and we were able to pray for several people that I have seen while working as a crossing guard!  It was neat, as the Lord has been preparing their hearts “for such a time as this” (Ester 4:14).  We also stopped and prayed for a senior who had just moved to Tupelo.  She knew the Lord and that He had sent us to her for encouragement!  Our last stop was a carport sale.  I felt led to buy a police car and lunch box.  On our way back to the church, low and behold I saw my Godson and was able to give the car to him!  How cool is God?  I am still waiting to see how He is going to use the lunch box!Continue reading “New Life!”

Tell Someone!

img_2837Oh what a since of humor our Heavenly Father has!  I was asked if I would play my oboe at the Mississippi Baptist Convention.  Without hesitation I said yes.  On the way to rehearsal, I had an opportunity to share what the Lord has been doing in Time To Revive with West Jackson’s worship leader who just so happened to be getting together with several folks who want to go out and share the Gospel!  They have met a few times to learn the Roman’s Road, compile their testimony and practice what they would actually say.  Well, I was invited to go with them the first time they hit the streets!  How fun that was!

Good Morning Sunshine!

img_2126This morning I noticed an air plane’s exhaust coming directly out of the sunrise.  It reminded me how we shine brightest when we are connected directly to Him.

As time went on…I noticed that the exhaust blended in with the rest of the clouds and I could no longer see the actual plane.  What a great illustration of us shining so brightly that people don’t see us, only Him within us!  Oh, I love the gentle reminders He gives me daily!

Switching Tracks!

img_2425The Lord woke me up and all I could see was a vision of this painting of the two railroad tracks.  Then, I heard that still small voice say “switching tracks.”  I prayed and I was reminded of reviveTUPELO’s engage week when the train whistle blew as the youth were wrapping up their worship time.  I knew “revival was here”…but I wasn’t clear if the Lord meant in Tupelo or within our youth.  Now, I believe He meant both!Continue reading “Switching Tracks!”

We are Covered!

img_2092During this Sunday’s sermon, we learned about what the Lord does with our sin.  Jeremiah 31:31-38.  My notes are as follows:

Isaiah 53:6 – God “laid it upon” Jesus, Jesus was given full responsibility.

2 Cor. 5:21 – Our sin was completely removed.  The only picture left is righteousness.

Ps. 32 – He forgave our Sin.  Our sins have been pardoned and He promises to never hold our sins against us again.

Ps. 85:2 – He removed our sin.

I see this picture illustrating how Jesus covers our sin to hide them from God so He can continue gazing upon us!  How awesome is that?Continue reading “We are Covered!”

Power of Prayer

Oh, what a mighty God we serve!  A few days ago, I was standing at my post and traffic got unruly.  It was so bad that cars began driving threw the vacant lot and other cars tried passing on the wrong side.  They met oncoming traffic and blocked even more people; making things even worse.  I couldn’t believe how impatient folks were and how careless they became.  img_2091

The next day, I dreaded afternoon dismissal.  However, I prayed the Lord protect every person that passed by and to orchestrate the coming and going of every car from the school.  Low and behold everything ran so smoothly!  Praise the Lord!  The road was vacant at the very same time it was hectic the day before!

I have often heard people ask if it’s appropriate to pray for the little things.  Yes, yes it is!  We are to pray about EVERYTHING!  1 Thes. 5:16-18 says “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

He is Persistent!

During my quiet time, I loved reading about the Lord being persistent in Discerning the Voice of God. It stated that “God didn’t call to people once and then throw His hands up in the air. He kept at it.  As we seek Him and acknowledge Him, He promises to continue to direct out paths  (Pro. 3:5-6), and often does so by bombarding us with a thought that will not cease to permeate our thoughts and hearts.  When you are walking with Him, seeking Him, and desiring to receive His direction, He will direct you with consistent persistence.”

Iron Sharpens Iron!

This week has been one of encouragement!  I have been discouraged from past experiences while raising my support and one of my sister’s in Christ told me to be bold, be brave! Listen to His whispers and step out into the unfamiliar!  The sea will part as you step out and follow His leads!

I have been stopping traffic to allow buses out of the school parking lot.  I have almost gotten hit a few times.  I tried to think about how I could get people’s attention.  Then, I remembered I have a whistle and I might need to use it!  What a confirmation of my need to use the tools I have been given; or His weapons so I can perform my duties or His calling on my life!

img_2010As I was speaking to another sister, she shared that she heard the Lord say that the He has already programmed my GPS…I just need to follow His steps!

When I was praying for someone else, I saw a lantern in the midst of darkness…this image reminded me of Psalms 119:105.  His Word gives us direction so we can go down the path He wants us to….He only gives us enough light for the next step and not the entire path.  This way, we have to keep our faith and trust in Him and not in ourselves!

Light of the Lord

img_2008-1This morning as I was watching the sunrise, I noticed His light bursting forth from the clouds and darkness.  Then the green light reminded me that I need to GO and be His light in this dark world that is not my home.  I was blinded when I took the second picture…and this is my prayer, that I blind someone because His light is shining so brightly!  Join me and shine His light!  Ephesians 5:8

Raise Them Up Lord!

What a fun way to spend tonight!  My Bible Study group met at the theater and watched Revive Us 2016   with the rest of the nation!  This was yet another confirmation of my calling!  I am so thankful He is allowing me to join Him in His work!  We are all praying for Revival in our families, communities, states, nation, and the entire world!
