RIP

Oh the sadness I feel as I pass this vacant, empty home.  You see, I briefly dated the individual that lived there when we were in high school.  We reconnected when I returned to Tupelo after college.  I dismissed him after trying to get sober.  I ended our relationship to begin dating someone who introducedContinue reading “RIP”

Spiritual Eyes

What a neat illustration of the Lord transforming us from the inside out! Romans 12:2 AND 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that farContinue reading “Spiritual Eyes”

Victory!

When I was headed to Lela’s for coffee this morning, I saw a jet headed straight up into the sky…and then as I was leaving…I saw two intersecting over downtown…in the shape of a cross!  As I am learning to look through my spiritual eyes…wouldn’t it be neat if they represent angel arrows? This evening,Continue reading “Victory!”

Jesus and Java

What a fun day!  Consuming absurd amounts of coffee while exchanging stories about what God has been doing in our lives!  Iron sharpen iron. I had plans to meet with these ladies individually through out the day…but the Lord had different plans.  He wanted us all to fellowship together!  How cool is that? I amContinue reading “Jesus and Java”

Tell Someone!

Oh what a since of humor our Heavenly Father has!  I was asked if I would play my oboe at the Mississippi Baptist Convention.  Without hesitation I said yes.  On the way to rehearsal, I had an opportunity to share what the Lord has been doing in Time To Revive with West Jackson’s worship leaderContinue reading “Tell Someone!”

Good Morning Sunshine!

This morning I noticed an air plane’s exhaust coming directly out of the sunrise.  It reminded me how we shine brightest when we are connected directly to Him. As time went on…I noticed that the exhaust blended in with the rest of the clouds and I could no longer see the actual plane.  What aContinue reading “Good Morning Sunshine!”

Switching Tracks!

The Lord woke me up and all I could see was a vision of this painting of the two railroad tracks.  Then, I heard that still small voice say “switching tracks.”  I prayed and I was reminded of reviveTUPELO’s engage week when the train whistle blew as the youth were wrapping up their worship time.  IContinue reading “Switching Tracks!”

We are Covered!

During this Sunday’s sermon, we learned about what the Lord does with our sin.  Jeremiah 31:31-38.  My notes are as follows: Isaiah 53:6 – God “laid it upon” Jesus, Jesus was given full responsibility. 2 Cor. 5:21 – Our sin was completely removed.  The only picture left is righteousness. Ps. 32 – He forgave ourContinue reading “We are Covered!”

Power of Prayer

Oh, what a mighty God we serve!  A few days ago, I was standing at my post and traffic got unruly.  It was so bad that cars began driving threw the vacant lot and other cars tried passing on the wrong side.  They met oncoming traffic and blocked even more people; making things even worse.  IContinue reading “Power of Prayer”

He is Persistent!

During my quiet time, I loved reading about the Lord being persistent in Discerning the Voice of God. It stated that “God didn’t call to people once and then throw His hands up in the air. He kept at it.  As we seek Him and acknowledge Him, He promises to continue to direct out paths  (Pro. 3:5-6),Continue reading “He is Persistent!”
