reviveMS

img_4190What an adventure today was!  As we left out of the church parking lot, we got the bright idea of finding Eric’s key.  I thought it was so neat because he had a key that switched the railroad tracks and the theme of reviveTUPELO is switching tracks!  We never got the key that Saturday.  However, a week later his daughter got in trouble at school and we realized we didn’t find the key because Eric is the key!  How cool is God?

After we gave up on the idea of getting the key that morning, Brittany suggested we try to find some homeless people to pray with.  I mentioned going to the Salvation Army.  As we walked up to the door, my team was able to pray for several volunteers and some of the staff.  Susan, a staff member, asked if we would make 200 sandwiches.  It was fun interacting with some of the residents as we made the sandwiches.  Continue reading “reviveMS”

Jesus Has Jokes!

Earlier this week I painted a picture of Ps. 91:4 “He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will fimg_3946ind refuge.” for Ms. Mary Frances.  She stated her daughter jokingly said now she will begin finding feathers inside the house.  We both commented that would be so amazing!  I shared with her I read an article about signs angels were near.  I explained it listed seeing feathers as one of the indications.

Well it didn’t take long for the Lord to show up and show out.  As we were sitting in Lela’s house for Jesus and Java a few days later…Heather began playing with a feather.  I asked her where it came from and she said she had found three of them on the table.  She was uncertain how they got there!  Then, I looked over at Dixie’s scarf and it had feathers printed all over it.  I pointed this out to Ms. Mary Frances and we began laughing at the Lord’s sense of humor!Continue reading “Jesus Has Jokes!”

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

img_3920-1I asked the Lord to speak to me this morning and I noticed the mud puddle.  Immediately, I was reminded we are to be a mirror image of our Heavenly Father.

Then, I noticed a wheel in the puddle’s reflection.  I began looking up scripture about the potter’s wheel…and began processing how the potter molds us, shapes us, and creates something beautiful from mere clay. Then, He began revealing that it’s bigger than me.  That what He’s doing in my life will be used for His glory…for His purpose!  To help bring others to know Him!Continue reading “Mirror Mirror on the Wall”

One Accord

img_3840As I was standing at my post as a crossing guard, I kept hearing “One Accord.”  I immediately began looking for scripture with this phrase.  I found Phil. 2:1-2 pictured above and and Acts 4:24 “When they heard this, they raised their voice to God in one accord and said:  ‘Sovereign Lord, you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.'”

I then noticed a flock of birds chirping in a nearby tree.  Suddenly, they were startled and all flew away.  What a perfect picture of being in one accord.  Isn’t that just fitting?  Isn’t that what we should be as a church body?  This is one of the things I have learned through Time To Revive…on a grander scale…when numerous church bodies join in unity…a community experiences REVIVAL!  When believers are in one accord with each other and Christ there are no limits to what the Holy Spirit can do!Continue reading “One Accord”

Go Time!

img_3869-1While Lela and I were driving to the church, we began sharing what the Lord had been speaking to us.  The word He had given Lela was awaken and mine was activate.  We both had pictures Mindi had painted during reviveOH as our backgrounds on our phones that reflected these words.  As we began looking at the pictures, we recognized hers showed we were in the 11th hour.  I explained that I heard the church bell chime 12 and Mindi confirmed we have now entered into a new time.  As we were talking about this, we noticed a police car pull out in front of us. On ahead, we saw a traffic light with both yellow and red flashing at the same time.  We discussed how we thought He was trying to caution us because my alarm on my phone suddenly went off.  I then noticed the bouquet of 5 pink flowers and 1 white flower on the windshield and explained it reminded me the painting Pam had given me consisting of 12 pink flowers.  Lela stated, 12 represented government…and we just had a new president elected on the 20th.

On our way to a fundraising event Lela shared what she had learned after studying these words.  Both Activate and Awaken are 3rd person present…meaning the Holy Spirit is with us. The 11th hour represents there is an urgency for His return.  The alarm confirmed we can not wait, the time is NOW!  The bouquet of 5 pink flowers represent “hey” – it’s a window of grace…and the 1 white represents an ox or a bull, which stands for strength and leader.

In conclusion…It’s time to wake up.  It’s the 11th hour.  The time is near.  Don’t worry, go with protection.  Just be cautious.  The alarm is sounding.  There is a window of grace. Awaken and go!

Stop!

img_3759While I was on my way to work this morning, I was stopped by a train.  Then, I hit every red light from there to my post.  I quickly realized the Lord wanted me to stop, slow down and be still long enough to listen to His instruction and to remember He is the One in charge!  I also knew He wanted me to intentionally spend time with Him, getting to know Him better, so He could reveal even more of Himself to me!  WOW, that sure makes me feel treasured, loved, and blessed to be the daughter of the One True King!

Strong Tower

This morning I asked the Lord to speak to me and I noticed the tall tower pictured in the upper left hand corner.  When I saw it, that still small voice whispered “strong tower.”  As I kept driving, I noticed how mighty and magnificent thimg_3733e towers were.  Proverbs 18:10 says “the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”  Psalm 61:3 tells us “for you have been a shelter and a refuge for me, a strong tower against the adversary.”  What an affirmation that I need to remain in Him and He will provide all my needs..and that He will never leave me, fail me, or forsake me!

When I shared this with a friend she said she saw a cell phone tower.  She also saw a lot of bolts and hard work was needed to go into making it strong.  She stated the bolts, nails, and materials need to be strong because the final structure needs to be strong enough to with hold a storm.  It needs to be unshakeable and unbreakable.  Each time a bolt is removed, it needs to replaced with Christ.  If not, it will will leave a gapping hole and something will come along to shake it and it and will be easily broken.  How cool is that?  If my foundation is strong in Him, then I will be able to withstand anything that comes against me!Continue reading “Strong Tower”

How He Loves Us

img_3573In one of the Bible Studies I have been going through I learned the Lord is more interested in revealing His character to us than in what He wants us to do for Him!  So, yesterday morning I asked Him to teach me something about His character…and I heard that still small voice say “look up”…at that very moment, I saw mistletoe in a tree.  I was blown away that He was showering me with His kisses and affection.  I wanted to try to take a picture to capture that moment of intimacy, but there was too much traffic.  I couldn’t get the photo, but my heart was full of His love for me!Continue reading “How He Loves Us”

At The Foot of the Cross

img_3703As I was headed to my parent’s I asked the Lord to reveal something to me this morning.   At the next stop sign, I saw a tow truck.  I have noticed tow trucks before and thought it was neat how they resemble a cross.  On the left hand side of this particular one was a trash can.  So, expectantly I looked on the right hand side and saw a hose and broom.  What a neat reminder that when we come to the foot of the cross  He will remove all of our garbage, clean us up, and use it for His glory.  It was also a visual He used to articulate how much He loves me and that I need to pick up my own cross and follow Him!

His Mysterious Ways

img_3927This morning I felt led to ask my grandmother to share her salvation story with me.  She explained that it was hard to put into words…yet tried by saying the time was solemn yet exciting and she felt exhilarated yet peaceful.

She stated after my grandfather passed, she worried about my grandfather’s salvation.  However, a few nights later she saw him in a dream.  She went on to say he was wearing his gray suite, he turned to look at her, and was holding a church bulletin in his hands.  She explained it was his way of reassuring her that she would join him one day in heaven!   She said she has had a peace about it ever since.Continue reading “His Mysterious Ways”
