Spiritual Eyes

AND

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head!

The rain did not deter our group one bit!   This morning, the Anchor Church had food ready for us to pass out; so we were able to meet people’s physical needs as well as their spiritual needs!  The Lord put several people on my heart.  We started out on Green Street.  We met a family who was strong in their faith and we were able to encourage and pray for them.  Then, we headed over to see Gerlisa and her baby Zayden.  We enjoyed our visit with her and I made arrangements to babysit; how fun is that going to be!  We knocked on two other doors, but nobody answered.

We drove around trying to find someone to bless.   A vacant building caught our attention.  It looked like the perfect location for a homeless person to rest their head.  We investigated a little bit, but didn’t see anyone.  We moved forward and noticed a male and female walking down the street with a plate of food in their hands.  It appeared they were leaving from the Salvation Army.  We were able to give them a ride and left them an abundance of food.  Continue reading “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head!”

Victory!

img_2979When I was headed to Lela’s for coffee this morning, I saw a jet headed straight up into the sky…and then as I was leaving…I saw two intersecting over downtown…in the shape of a cross!  As I am learning to look through my spiritual eyes…wouldn’t it be neat if they represent angel arrows?

This evening, as the sun was setting…it looked as though the sky was on fire!  I am believing the angel army won today’s battle as we charged them to fight, fight, fight!

Jesus and Java

img_2980What a fun day!  Consuming absurd amounts of coffee while exchanging stories about what God has been doing in our lives!  Iron sharpen iron.

I had plans to meet with these ladies individually through out the day…but the Lord had different plans.  He wanted us all to fellowship together!  How cool is that?

I am so thankful the Lord has put these sisters in my life to encourage and walk along side of me!

Riches!

img_2898This morning during prayer service, we all asked Jesus this question, “why did You sacrifice Yourself for me?”  Let those words soak in!!! Wow!!!  His response to me was… “because you knew what life was like without Me, so now you can go and share with everyone that I Am the answer!”

We also spoke over each person in our prayer group.  Ms. Mary Frances said she saw gold falling on me and another individual say that she heard treasure of heaven!  How awesome is that?  By going out to share God’s love, we are all storing up treasures in heaven, amen?

Marion Co., Day 6 – BLESSED!

img_2873Remember the young lady that the Lord highlighted to me at the high school?  Well, I got a chance to talk with her, several times throughout the week!  She wanted to rededicate her life to Christ!  I even got to sit with her during the last service!  How faithful is God!?!

The Lord continued outdoing Himself!  Here it was Saturday night at the church…and I was getting a little anxious to see my puppy dogs…when low and behold…right in the middle of the church hallway stood a therapy dog!  It was neat because I told the dog’s owner how her dog was the answer to my prayer and she stated she was so encouraged!  She admitted she never knows if what she does contributes anything!  I loved that the Lord connected us and I was able to affirm her calling and ministry!Continue reading “Marion Co., Day 6 – BLESSED!”

Miami Co., Day 5 (Part 2)

This afternoon was fun!   The ringing in a new sound theme continued!  Not only did my team see a large bell, but a gentleman at the church we went to was playing them!

I was able to go to the sheriff’s department and pray over several of the deputies.  They appreciated the prayers and encouragement as they had just had their sheriff’s funeral earlier this week.

This evening, my team had the privilege of serving meals at the soup kitchen.  I ate with and prayed for a couple and then reconnected with some of the folks I had met the night before!  What a joy it was to be able to fellowship with them one more time!Continue reading “Miami Co., Day 5 (Part 2)”

Somewhere….over the…

img_2892Through out the week, I saw numerous mini-rainbows!  I love it when He reminds me to hold onto His promises!

On one occasion, we were driving to the church. The light of the sun reflected directly at me off of a pool of water…it was a neat reminder that when we are directly in line with Jesus (God’s Son) and in the center of His will; we will reflect His light and see His promises come through to fruition!
